Completed Projects

Planet Youth

Planet Youth was a free user led club for 11-19 year olds. Planet Youth provided a safe place for young people to come and chill out with their friends and meet new people. We have pool tables, table football, XBOX 360, Playstation 2 and a juke box available for young people to use.

Funded by the North Lincolnshire Council

Time 4 Change ( 2011 – 2015)

Time4Change was a support group for people with drug and alcohol issues based in the Westcliff area of Scunthorpe. It ran three times a week. Service users could come have a free bacon and egg butty, have a game of pool or table tennis. This was run by volunteers who were on hand to have a chat or signpost people to the Drug services. We also had a nurse who came down once a week to do wound care!

WISP (2012 – 2015)

WISP (Westcliff Intervention and Support Project), this project was set up because of a long-term concern about the amount of people who sat on the wall in Westcliff precinct and had Drug and Alcohol issues. This was a new and innovative project and over the 3 years and supported over a 100 people in their recovery; this included going with clients to the Alcohol Direct Access Services, having regular 1:1’s with all clients where we discussed their options and developed life plans. This involved using several tools for example; outcome stars and WRAP (Wellness Recovery Action Plans)

Time 4 Women (2015-2017)

Supported women who had substance misuse problems and who led a chaotic lifestyle. This was developed following on from Time4Change as it was identified that the women in the area wanted somewhere they could go to talk with likeminded people and take part in positive activities.

Bygones and Baseball Caps

Bygone Days and Baseball Caps’was our nostalgia event which took place during Easter 2017. We celebrated the history of Westcliff, displaying information that we collected while working together with residents to capture anecdotes, photos and memories of days gone by when the area had a vibrant shopping precinct.
